Web design for cafés & coffee shops

Websites for cafés & coffee shops in London.

A café website that works as hard as your espresso machine. Independent cafés need a website that makes the essentials obvious: what you serve, when you are open, where to find you and how to order or get in touch. I build fast, considered websites that support local discovery and feel like the café rather than a generic hospitality template.

The problem

Most local customers will first view the website on their phone. They may arrive from Google Maps, a local search, Instagram or a recommendation, then quickly look for the menu, opening hours, location and next useful action. A slow or unclear page makes that decision harder than it needs to be.

What I build

How it actually works.

  1. 01

A custom-built one or two-page website shaped around the menu, visit details, ordering route and character of your café.

  2. 02

A mobile-first menu that stays clear and quick to use on an everyday phone connection.

  3. 03

Photography is available for West London projects and quoted separately. Existing brand photography can also be prepared and optimised for the site.

  4. 04

Google Business Profile guidance for hours, photos, menu and posts, aligned with the website so customers get consistent information in Search and Maps.

  5. 05

Structured data for the business, menu and opening hours to help search engines understand the page. Search appearance remains controlled by Google.

  6. 06

Optional: simple online ordering form (no platform fees, no commissions) for pre-orders or click-and-collect.

Common questions

  • How is this different from Square / Toast / Toast websites?

Square and Toast can be useful when their ordering and payment tools fit the business. A custom site gives you more control over design, copy and ownership, and it can link to the tools you already rely on.

  • Do I need online ordering?

It depends on how the café operates. A simple pre-order route can help a takeaway-led business, while a sit-in destination may only need a clear menu, location and contact details. I will recommend the simplest useful option.

  • I already have a Squarespace site — can you migrate it?

Yes. I will review the current site first and tell you whether keeping it, improving it or rebuilding gives better value. Content and domain migration are scoped clearly before work starts.

  • How fast can my café site rank for local searches?

The site is built with strong local SEO foundations: clear page titles, schema, sitemap, Search Console setup and Google Business Profile guidance. Rankings and indexing times depend on competition, domain history and Google, so I never promise a position or a fixed date.
